Ox tails and jerk chicken were excellent. Got perfectly cooked cabbage and moist cornbread for sides. Hope I have travel to Jacksonville again soon.

Tried Royale Cafe for lunch since I had a taste for Jamaican food. The cafe has a small dining area with maybe 5 tables if you want to eat in. It appears that they are creating a nice outdoor space for patrons to enjoy in the near future. I ordered a large jerk chicken meal with peas & rice, steamed cabbage and plantains. Pros: the cabbage were great! I love the touch of carrots and red bell pepper in them! The jerk chicken was all dark meat so it was juicy and not too spicy. They gave plenty for 2 on a large order. Cons: The peas & rice are a joke! Don’t opt for theirs if you are used to authentic peas& rice cooked down in coconut milk and seasoned with thyme.. Nah suh! Not here. They taste nothing like the real thing. It seemed like they were out of a lot of stuff but it was 2:00 pm when I got here. I would definitely eat here again to try other dishes on the menu.

My first time . I work across the street at the Post Office Security. They were pleasant and courteous. No long wait the oxtails were very tender and good to taste. Everything was . Just perfect

The food was authentic and amazing. A hole in the wall but well worth it. We ordered jerk chicken and ox tail, both large portions. The meat was tender and flavorful.

The BEST Steam Snapper Fish I’ve ever had. The food was full of flavor and made to order. My meal consisted of Steam Snapper Fish, Cabbage, Rice and Peas, and Sweet Plantains. There was enough food on my plate to eat twice. There’s a nice patio/bar area outside where music is played and you can enjoy your food. This is the next best restaurant to eating in Jamaica.
